Jake the Dog!

I had to share some things about our dog Jake and his quirky ways! Jake loves the sun. When it enters the house, he lays where it shines and he moves around the house as the sun moves. However, when the sun hits the stairs, Jake will stand on the stairs and try to formulate a way to lay. Unfortunately his large rear end, 80 pounds worth, doesn't fit. But, everyday he gets on the stairs and continues to try and figure it out. Below is a picture of him sitting on the stairs, wondering how he is going to lay down and snooze.

Jake is going to start training on Friday!!! We have been waiting for this time for a while. He behaves so well at home, but when other people or animals are around, he tends to "forget" or ignore how he is supposed to behave. He gets overly excited which can be overwhelming for others. The picture below is our favorite picture of Jake perched up on the top stair looking out the large entry way window with his nasty toy rope, doing what he does best...trying to sleep.

For entertainment purposes, Jeff and I love to harass Jake...and we like to think that Jake loves it too. One day, we were doing laundry and Jeff thought that we should put one of his shirts on Jake...you know, since Jake was cold....
